Creating a "dialogue" with non-toxic glue and latex paints has been primary for me.  This process has been a journey evolving organically since 1996.  I utilize glue as a vehicle that holds the color, letting in light through each layer, like an encaustic ethereal dream frozen in time.

A silhouetted figure behind layers of transparent colors evokes a sense of mist after a hard rain.  The figure is within a garden setting surrounded by ghost-like birds and insects.  This is from my series of paintings titled "Garden Friends."  The works might appear sentimental as a first impression.
However, to me they conjure up past memories and dreams.  Hopefully, for a few moments, the viewer will focus on nature's beauty and the fragility of life.

During my early years of artistic development I apprenticed with South Florida furniture artist Richard Warholic. I also experimented with a vast number of materials searching for the right "fit" for my temperment and personality.  These experiences are all infused in my current body of works.
